Vitamin D regulates calcium and influences testosterone production, immune function, and mood. Deficiency is extremely common, especially in men with low sun exposure.

Deficient: <20 ng/mL. Insufficient: 20–30. Sufficient: 30–80. Optimal: 40–60 for most adults.

What does high Vit D mean?

  • +Excessive supplementation. True toxicity rare below 100 ng/mL.

What does low Vit D mean?

  • +Low sun exposure, dark skin, obesity, malabsorption, anticonvulsants.

Low vitamin D associates with low testosterone in observational studies; supplementation modestly raises T in deficient men. If you're on TRT and your vitamin D is below 40, supplement with 2,000–5,000 IU daily (with K2 for cardiovascular protection).
